All series of Bob Block’s children’s TV classic Rentaghost, has been added to ITVX Premium and Britbox.
Rentaghost was first broadcast in 1976, running for 58 episodes over 9 series. It finished in 1984. The series revolved around the antics of a group of ghosts who worked for the company Rentaghost.
The consistent cast member was Michael Staniforth, who played Timothy Claypole. The two other ghosts were initially played by Anthony Jackson and Michael Darbyshire. In later series, Molly Weir and Sue Nicholls joined the cast. The roles of the Meakers were played by Edward Brayshaw and Ann Emery.
Series 1, 2 and 9 had been present on the service for some time, but the rest of the main series has now been added. The only thing missing is the 1979 Christmas special, but this could possibly arrive in December.
