Dangerous Assignment Coming to Talking Pictures

Talking Pictures TV will broadcast the American series Dangerous Assignment, starring Brian Donlevy.


Dangerous Assignment first aired as a radio drama on NBC Radio between 1949 and 1953, starring Donlevy as Agent Steve Mitchell. The lead actor continued the role in the syndicated television version, which aired for 1 season of 39 episodes between 1951 and 1952.

Synopsis: Agent Steve Mitchell travels the globe investigating cases of espionage, sabotage and threats to National Security.


This show is the latest addition to Talking Pictures’ growing lineup of classic rarely seen TV shows. Other titles include The Beverly Hillbillies, Bonanza, Out of Town and Manhunt

Talking Pictures TV is available free-to-air on Freeview and Freesat in the UK. Its channel allocation is 82 for Freeview and 306 for Freesat. It is also available on subscription platforms, channel 328 on Sky Digital and 445 on Virgin. The channel is dedicated to vintage film and television, often highlighting forgotten treasures and classics.
