Budgie Returning to Talking Pictures

The 1970s series Budgie, starring Adam Faith, is returning to the Talking Pictures TV schedule. The show began its first run on the channel back in 2020.

The show was produced by London Weekend Television, and ran for 26 episodes over two series between 1971 and 1972.

Adam Faith, as Ronald ‘Budgie’ Bird, newly released from prison, becomes embroiled in one hair-brained scheme after another. The series co-stars Iain Cuthbertson, John Rhys-Davies, Lynn Dalby, Georgina Hale, and George Tovey as some of hapless Budgie’s various foils and companions.

This new run joins the long list of classic British and American television series broadcast on Talking Pictures. Recent additions have included The Brothers, Manhunt, Bonanza and The Beverly Hillbillies.

Budgie will air on Talking Pictures TV from Saturday the 13th of April at 8pm. It will continue every week at the same time.
