Mr Wizard’s World Arrives On Amazon Prime

Episodes of the classic 1980s Nickelodeon series, Mr Wizard’s World, have made their way to Amazon Prime Video in the US and UK. Created and hosted by Don Herbert, the children’s series aimed to show the science behind ordinary things.

The original series, named Watch Mr. Wizard, was first broadcast in 1951; running for 14 years until 1965. Herbert revived the show in Canada for a brief period in the early 1970s, before a revamped version on Nickelodeon in 1983. The show ended in 1990, but continued to live on in reruns and distribution in the digital world. Don Herbert passed away in 2007.

Mr. Wizard Studios inc has added forty-five episodes from the 1980s series, which adopted a faster pace than the original. Whether more material from any series will appear is unknown. We shall continue to update on further news.
