Charlie Chalk Added to Britbox


Woodland Animations‘ stop frame animated series Charlie Chalk has been added to Britbox in the UK; Consequently, it’s also available to stream via ITVX Premium.

First broadcast by the BBC in 1988, the 13 episode series followed the adventures of Charlie and a colourful cast of characters on the island of Merrytwit. Characters included Arnold the Elephant, Luis T. Duck, Trader Jones, Edward and Captain Mildred. The voices were provided by Michael Williams, John Wells and Barbara Leigh-Hunt. The theme tune was sung by Ken Barrie.

The series is presented uncut, and in excellent condition for it’s age.

The inclusion of this show forms part of a recent large content drop of classic kids TV on Britbox. Other shows include Roobarb, The Trumptonshire Trilogy and The Red Hand Gang. Other Woodland Animations productions, including Bertha and Postman Pat, are also available to stream.
