Catweazle Coming to Talking Pictures TV.

British channel Talking Pictures TV has announced that they will broadcast the British 1970s series Catweazle.

Originally broadcast on ITV for 2 series between 1970 and 1971, it ran for 26 episodes. Created by Richard Carpenter for London Weekend Television, the series starred Geoffrey Bayldon as an eccentric 11th-century wizard who finds himself in the present day. The series also featured Robin Davies, Gary Warren, Neil McCarthy, Charles ‘Bud’ Tingwell, Moray Watson and Peter Butterworth alongside guest actors including Patricia Hayes, Hattie Jacques, John Junkin, Peter Sallis and Paul Eddington.

Catweazle begins on Talking Pictures TV on Saturday 2nd of November at 3:30pm & continues Saturdays & Sundays at the same time.

We bought the Catweazle box set because we thought it would never be shown again but talking pictures are showing it.Is there any chance of target with patrick mower being shown,as he was in callan and special branch and also a couple of american programmes called search with burgess meredith and the barbary coast with william shatner and doug mcclure.Thank You

  2. Catweazle, wow. This is classic British television at it’s best with a timeless charm. It introduced the idea to my generation that perhaps magic really is possible.
