BBC Four will air all episodes of Tony Bennett’s 1970s series Tony Bennett Sings… Airing as part of the channel’s regular music theme on Friday nights, this series hasn’t been seen in full on television for decades.
Tony Bennet Sings… was first broadcast in 1979 on BBC Two, and features Bennett tackling several different song genres in each episode. One series of six half-hour episodes were made, and have rarely been seen since their original transmission. The legendary singer passed away on the 21st of July 2023 at the age of 96, and Episode 2 was aired on BBC2 in August as a tribute.
