The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis added to Plex UK

Plex has added all four seasons of teen-focused sitcom The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis to its lineup of classic shows.

The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis first aired on CBS in 1959 and ran for 147 episodes over 4 seasons, ending in 1963. Based on books by Max Shulman, the show starred Dwayne Hickman as the titular character. It also featured Bob Denver, Tuesday Weld and Sheila James. The show followed the adventures of Dobie (Hickman) as he navigated the complicated teenage world of the late 1950s, assisted by his beatnik friend Maynard (Denver).

In 2020, Jamie Dyer spoke about the show in an episode of A Brit Talks Vintage TV. This show is one of many classic programs recently added to Plex, including Father Knows Best and The Carol Burnett Show.

All four seasons of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis are available to stream on Plex in the UK.
