Crown Court Coming to Talking Pictures TV

British Archive TV channel Talking Pictures has announced they will be broadcast the 1970s’ ITV series Crown Court, starting in January 2023.

The show began on ITV in 1972, running for 879 episodes over 11 series. It was produced by Granada TV, and originally broadcast in a daytime slot. The first three part story broadcast was Doctor’s Neglect? Unusually for a show from this period, all episodes of the series exist.

“Made in 1972, a classic courtroom drama, each case runs over
three episodes. At the end of the third episode, a jury of “ordinary
people”comes to a verdict on the evidence presented.”

Talking Pictures TV Synopsis for Crown Court

Crown Court, alongside regulars, also became known for its roster of guest stars, past present and future.. Faces including John Le Mesurier, Brian Cox, Robert Powell, Patrick Troughton et al made appearances during the show’s run.

This news follows recent broadcast of classic TV series including Budgie, The Saint and Maigret. ITC series Four Just Men was also recently announced for broadcast on Talking Pictures TV in January.

Crown Court starts on Talking Pictures TV on the 9th of January at 2:30pm, continuing every week on Monday, Thursday and Friday at the same time. For details on future broadcasts, please see the Talking Pictures TV website.
