The Likely Lads Coming to That’s TV

The BBC sitcom series The Likely Lads, starring James Bolam and Rodney Bewes, will air on That’s TV in 2024. The channel has previously broadcast the sequel series Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads.

The Likely Lads was first shown on BBC2 in 1964, and was written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Thirty black and white episodes were broadcast over three series between 1964 and 1966. It focused on the friendship between two young working class men, Terry Collier (Bolam) and Bob Ferris. (Bewes). Sadly, only around 10 episodes still exist.

The addition of this classic sitcom is just one of a large number of recent acquisitions from That’s TV. Programming includes Steptoe and Son, The Brittas Empire, Blankety Blank, Sykes, Little Britain and Sorry. We will continue to update on when new programming appears.

The Likely Lads will be first broadcast on the 1st of January 2024 in a double bill at 7:20pm. An episode will then be broadcast every day around the same time. Please see the That’s TV schedule for further listings.
