Dixon of Dock Green Coming to Talking Pictures TV

It has been announced that Talking Pictures TV will be airing existing episodes of Dixon of Dock Green, starring Jack Warner.

Dixon of Dock Green is a police procedural television series about daily life at a fictional London police station, with the emphasis on petty crime, successfully controlled through common sense and human understanding.

It ran for 432 episodes over 22 series between 1955 and 1976 on the BBC; Only around 32 episodes still exist. The character of George Dixon first appeared in the 1950 film The Blue Lamp, directed by Basil Dearden.

The addition of this rarely-seen piece of classic TV follows the recent broadcast of shows including The Gold Robbers, Manhunt and Worzel Gummidge.
