Button Moon Coming to ITVX Premium

It has been announced that 1980s children’s TV classic Button Moon is coming to ITVX and Britbox. All episodes will be made available in June.

Made by Thames Television, Button Moon was first broadcast on ITV between 1980 and 1988; Running for 91 episodes over 7 series. Narrated by Robin Parkinson, each ten minute episode featured Mr. Spoon’s adventures on Button Moon, which he travels to in his homemade rocket ship. The memorable theme tune was sung by Sandra Dickinson and Peter Davison.

In June, the platform will also host the classic first two series of Willow the Wisp, narrated by Kenneth Williams. These shows join the large lineup of classic kids shows including Grange Hill, Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine, Paddington and Worzel Gummidge. All of these series, and more, are available on ITVX Premium via a subscription.

The complete series of Button Moon will drop in June on an unspecified date. We will update when full details have been disclosed.
