What’s New on Prime | Dick Barton

Here at Old Time Review, we try to keep you updated on the classic pre-1980 media which has recently been added to streaming services. According to JustWatch, here is what was added to Amazon Prime on Monday the 18th of March 2024.

Only one title was added to Prime today:

Dick Barton: Special Agent (1948) Dir: Alfred J. Goulding. Stars: Don Stannard, George Ford. Studio: Hammer Film Productions.

It’s nice to see the first big-screen adaptation of Dick Barton arrive on Amazon Prime. The character was first introduced on the BBC Light Programme in 1946, running until 1951. Following this 1948 film, it received two sequels.

The other two films in the series, Dick Barton at Bay and Dick Barton Strikes Back, were recently added to Freevee. While bizarre that the first film is only on the paid option, they are at least all available via the same application.

Please note that the above information may be subject to change; Titles sometimes have a limited time in which they are available. We will continue to update on future additions. What will you be watching?
