The 70s’ Confessions Movies Coming to Talking Pictures

Archive TV channel Talking Pictures TV has announced they will be showing all four of the 1970s’ Confessions… series, starring Robin Askwith this December.

Four of the adult sex farce comedies were made between 1974 and 1977; Confessions of a Window Cleaner, Confessions of a Pop Performer, Confessions of a Driving Instructor and Confessions from a Holiday Camp. The low-budget series, based on the novels by Christopher Wood (under the character name), followed the erotic adventures of Timothy Lea (Askwith).

Although extremely raunchy for the period, they featured a plethora of faces including Tony Booth, Jill Gascoine, Bill Maynard, Dandy Nichols, John Le Mesurier, Joan Hickson, Peter Jones, Sam Kidd, Windsor Davies, Liz Fraser and many more. It is probably fair to say, though, that audiences at the time weren’t watching for familiar actors.

The Confessions… series will air on Talking Pictures TV this December. Please see their website for details.
