Classic Postman Pat added to Britbox UK

Both series of the original version of Postman Pat have landed on Britbox UK! It features as part of the streaming service’s Old School Classics category.

Created by John Cunliffe, stop-motion animated series Postman Pat first aired in 1981 for 13 episodes. It was made by Ivor Wood (Magic Roundabout, The Herbs, Wombles, Paddington Bear) and his company Woodland Animations. The narrator in this series was Ken Barrie, who also sang the theme tune. A second series was broadcast in 1996.

It is unclear whether any other shows from Wood’s vast catalogue will be available to stream in the future.. The rights to many of these series are owned by Wildbrain and Universal / DreamWorks Classics.

Postman Pat is available to stream on Britbox UK and through ITVX premium.
