Jamie’s Reaction

Nice to see another piece of the ATV archives being brought back to television! Sergeant Cork is one of those TV classics that has hardly had any airtime in recent years, thank you to Talking Pictures for planning to expose it to a whole new audience! They’ve aired a number of period dramas over the last few years, and this will sit perfectly alongside. I’m sure many will be intrigued by the Victorian setting alongside the mystery.

The addition of getting regular cast member William Gaunt to introduce episodes is a great idea, and one which will add more depth and context to the screenings. I look forward to hearing his behind-the-scenes stories, many of which I’m sure are usually put to one side in favour of more famous series he’s starred in.

When is Sergeant Cork being broadcast?

Sergeant Cork will first air on Talking Pictures TV on Sunday the 31st of August 2025, at 8pm. It will continue weekly at the same time. Please see the channel’s website for any schedule changes.
